We walk up early in the morning, as we were to leave the hotel by 10.30, and to go to heathrow airport, to catch our flight to San fransisco at 13.50. We did have done the packing last night, but some of the things needed last minute packing and it did took some time. We had two suitcases and two strolleys, which were full.We also had two back packs. We already had ordered taxi for airport and the person an indian driver came at 10.15. We reached airport at around 11.00 am immediately went in checked in our luggage. They did not scaned our luggage (might have done inside the security area), but I did felt that they were not as alarmed as we are at indian airports. At indian airports the check the luggage and if has any doubts, they either ask us what's inside or ask us to open and show them the contents.Even in personal security too they did not check me. We then took rest and near the shopping arcade for some time and then moved around various shops.Shopping arcade is huge ,has as many shops. We went through the HARRODS, as we were not able to visit it at London city. After hearing the annoucement that our flight leave from gate no. 52, we went through a l ......ong psssage and took our seat near the gate.Boarding call came at 1.30 and we boarded the plane.we had seats in the middle between the two rows.Seats were as usual cramped up and were not reclining ,as what in other airlines do. We were served the lunch after 1hr but were told that the they did not get the order for VEG lunch from their office and as such they could not offer the VEG lunch to us.Fortunately for us they had veg pasta and it was ok ( rather good). My experience says that British airlines is not good for travel and for service.Seats were too close ,cramped, and reclining was less and service was very bad. They served COLD FOOD from Boambay (Lopa's kaka came by same airlines and got sick due to cold diner).after serving dinner from Bombay they just went to bed and did not showed their face for 7 hrs.no juice , water, tea or coffee.

We then went into hybernation- BHINJA YE LA KABUTAR JEVA for 10hrs 30 minutes. In this uncomfortable seats, it was hard time to pass 10 hrs., but had no choice. We had a personal TV and 18 channells, so we watched some channels and programes for 3 times. ultimately annoucement came that we are decending to land at SFO. we filled in foms for immigration and agriculture declaration and came out at airport, stood in queue, got the 6 months entry permit and came out of the lounge ,to be greeted WARMLY BY Nimish, Lopa and LIPI. AMARO BADHO J T THAK utari gayo.we came home , opened all the bags had a nice dinner, talked a lot and went to bed at around 21.00 local time.( at that time according to our body clock set to London time it was 5.00am in the morning). Our jet lag remained for one week, but are now totaly free and moving out regularly.
